In the 30′s and 40′s marijuana propaganda was all the rage. Scare tatics were the norm, and according to these films, you were most likely a murderer, rapist, or crazed animal if you smoked marijuana.
I have picked out three great films for your enjoyment. These films are laughable. If you can only choose one to watch, then pick Reefer Madness, it has some of the best scenes.
Devil’s Harvest
This is the story of a woman on a mission. Kay O’Farrell, a bustling high school teen dancer, is enticed to perform at a club. After lying to her parents, Kay slips into the night under the guise of a dance recital.
Tom, Kay’s fella, became aware of her plan to dance and met her at the club to stop the show. This leads to the death of a girl, and Kay into a crusader against drugs and debauchery in this seedy world.
Kay is now on the mission to take down the members of the gang, and one by one, she goes after them. Below is the trailer of the flick, as you might imagine, it’s a little hard to dig up the entire film.

Reefer Madness
Reefer Madness is set among a fine group of guys and gals that happen to sell marijuana to the local community. The film follows our group as they play out scenes of what happens when you use marijuana.
This has to be by far one of the worst scare tactic films of this time period. The acting is comical, and at times too much to handle. You just have to watch this one to truly understand.
